First off, let me start by saying that I really do hope there is a second season! I love this show so much!
And now, I shall continue.
The way Daisy Chain disguises her voice as Svengali’s as she answers the phone for the captain’s call is ADORABLE! Especially when she says ‘ hello’.
The knife fight scene was especially great! Especially when the serial killer just walks up to the guy almost screaming ‘no clues!’ lol. The fact that the cop just stands there and doesn’t seem to care makes me laugh even more!
Daisy Chain’s face through out the Murkin and Fake pussy is just amazing! Creepy and yet salesmanish lol
Everytime I see Daisy’s date, I’m always shocked! It’s just so…unexpected! Especially when she starts strangling poor Svengali who already looks absolutely heartbroken watching Daisy move on while he’s stuck feeling useless and pathetic in bed. I always feel so sad for him laying there, getting Daisy to tell him who’s she’s going out with
I always laugh when I see the Penthouse shirt…one of my favorite magazines if you must know and the pink and green socks?! YES!!!!
Watching poor Svengali drag himself down the hall and even falling two flights of stairs just to try and rescue Daisy is just so adorable! I was cheering him on the entire time, even when he yelled out “Son of a cunt!”…favorite saying now by the way lol
Watching Svengali killing the serial killer was pretty awesome and funny. Slow motion was the best way to go, even when he was telling her to ‘just fucking die!’ lol
But the twist at the end of the scene? Very sad! I was all like “NOOOOO!!!!”
but alas, what really makes this episode VERY special is the part where Svengali and Daisy are speaking in the hospital. When Svengali has his note and writes it to Daisy, speaking about all the things you wouldn’t have thought he would have spoken about when you first begin watching the series. Telling her he loves her, wants to protect her and that’s why he always comes to help her. How weak he feels when she watches him fail and explaining why he puts her down so that he can try and make himself feel good again.
But the necrophiliac serial killer who gets her in the bathroom paired with the very emotional montage of video between Daisy and Svengali (even the funny bloopers to try and lighten the mood) are what REALLY make this episode so emotional. When Svengali is just waiting there, you feel so sorry for him not knowing what’s going on in the bathroom. I almost burst into tears, the poor thing!
So now, I’m going to end this with;

I tried posting this yesterday but the site was hacked the moment I finished it.
I saw your posts on Facebook about the episode being up and for the first time, I was a little reluctant on coming over here. Normally, I’d be over here as soon as physically possible. Maybe this time, the moment I finished watching the episode, I’d have to accept that this is all over and at the moment, it’s a little too hard to accept.
The serial killer trap was ingenious. It was such a “Daisy Chain” thing to do, as if we could have ever expected anything else of the lovable whore. I love Daisy so much that I have her as my text message tone. So now when I get a text, I think of this and I think of you.
Congratulations Mr Roecker, you made me cry. The note toward the end was just beautiful. You could tell how heartfelt it was, given the context of everything, that made it all the more painful but still beautiful.
The footage at the end with you and Mikey made me laugh and cry. To see you both happy together but knowing the things I do – it was painful, not only because I’ve been in that situation myself but because I know how hard that must have been for you to include.
This episode is probably my favourite, I loved the whole season so it’s hard for me to say that. The whole series has been amazing, well worth all the hard work you’ve put in to it. Those people who give you shit are worth nothing, they don’t know you, how hard you’ve worked on this, how painful it’s been the way that we do.
It’s been an absolute joy to watch this, to be in some way a part of it and a part of you. It was with a massive amount of pleasure and pride that I could say to people that this was and still is my addiction. Now the show is over, I’m not so sure what I’m going to do. Yeah, there’s Heart Like A Hand Grenade to look forward to but there’s still going to be a void, a Svengali-shaped hole inside me.
Knowing that the show is over… it hurts, it really does. There’s really nothing else I can fill the void with and to be honest, I don’t want to fill it. That would mean I would be saying there’s something better than this and I don’t think there could ever be anything like Svengali.
Yeah, I’m sad to see that the show is over, but I’m happy because I know that there are new things coming. Somewhere in that future out there, there’s going to be something from you which I love and adore as much as Svengali, and maybe I’ll love it more than this. Either way, I know that this journey with you isn’t over and I can’t wait to see what’s coming up.

but.. no… NO! I can’t believe it’s over. I can’t cry with movies or series, but I’m kinda crying right now. John, this was beautiful. Seriously. You’re a great artist, and please, make a second season. PRETTY PLEASE! Svengali made me laugh when I was feeling down, it can’t be over after 5 episodes (or 6, ’cause I’m counting the fifth one as a double one).

This very last episode makes me sad of course that there will never be any new Svengali episodes every week. Svengali became my pick-me-up in some situations. But I’m alsp very happy that it ended this well and how bittersweet and beautiful you made the entire series, John. On another note, the music in this was absolutely superb!! “Baby, I Love You” at the end of a well-deserving series could not have fit more perfectly. But please John, now that Svengali is truly over, make something else amazing to make my life complete..

It really saddens me to see it end… and i really hope for a second season.
1/4 of my life’s inside jokes with my friends are about Svengali. I even named my guitar Svengali, and my friend named hers Daisy Chain.
I really do love your show, and plan to watch them over and over and over whenever possible.

The credit song and the song for the ending of Svengali are amazing. Now prepare for the rambling aftershock after finally being able to finish watching this series:
Holy crap…I think the way you ended this was so unbelievably wonderful that it completely changed my outlook on the story altogether…and in a good way. I have NEVER seen an ending that was able to completely take something so hilariously obscene and turn it into something emotional and inspiring.
At first, it seemed like Svengali would be something for me to watch for a ton of good laughs, but the ending, even with all of its Svengali charm, actually made me look at this as a reflection on life, no matter how crazy it can be. I don’t know what your purpose was behind everything, but that’s what I got from it…all because of that ending. You made it so everything I saw beforehand will be seen in a different light the next time I watch it, and once my internet stops being a bitchass, I WILL watch this series again.
I cannot explain how happy I am with Svengali, and I can’t even begin to thank you enough. I sound like such a cheesy little suck-up, but this is seriously one of those rare works of art that leaves you in complete awe when you aren’t even expecting it. This was most certainly a shocking conclusion.
John, you are now officially a huge inspiration to me.

It’s took me so long to go through the Svengali World Series (you’re going to get the story..), I started in about May/June time and just finished. I watched this whole first episode in a week as I had to break it up into little bits. I then watched the first half of the second episode in school but my teacher [who is a pushover] said that ‘if the head walked in and saw me watching that we would both get into trouble.’ I couldn’t watch it for a long time again as I wasn’t alowed on my brother laptop (the home laptop is downstairs, my parents could walk in at any moment) so as soon as I got the chance (like a month later) I watched the end of the second episode and the third. After this; I got grounded so as soon as I was alowed online again, I wasn’t going to blow it, I waited a week then watched the forth episode then the holidays came when I was never alone (family, parents, brother). I had a friend over, who wanted to see this show so I showed her the first episode, that set me back even more. And just there; last night I decided to watch the final episode, I got to part three then had to go offline. So I’m here now, just watched the final part and, I loved it, worth the wait by far. I thought it was so sweet, yet funny. It was so good how they found eachother in the end. <3
and now I've got to ask you something. Is there anyway online I can get this on DVD (stupid question but yano..). And if there is whatt price would it be in Great British Pounds.. and could I get an autograph =D [ignore the last remark.. if you wish.] Anyway, job well done. I've seen some good shows in 2010 and Svengali is right at the top.
