John, that documentary was amazing. As if we could have expected anything less than that from an artist such as yourself. You not only satisfied my expectations but surpassed them in the incredible way that you always have done.
Rancid for you is what Green Day is for me, something which restored my faith not only in myself but in the human race. You’ll never know just how amazing it feels to know that there is someone out there who is as passionate about a band as I am.
Just like the first time I had heard it, Harlow’s poem made me cry. To know that he is such a huge part of you and that he is in your heart and soul, in everything that you do, is truly heartwarming.
I’ve said this to you before but will say it again anyway; it is because of you that I could find find the courage to once again express myself in the artistic way I do. I cannot thank you enough for restoring my conviction.
Once again, you have proved that you aren’t afraid to lay your very self on the line and put yourself up for scrutiny. Like Green Day did 13 years ago, you have restored my faith in the human race. To find an inspiration such as you in my lifetime gives me a feeling which I cannot vindicate with mere words and will never try to.
“Thank you”, it always seems so redundant when I say it to you, but it’s all I have. Thank you; for being fearless, for wearing your heart on your sleeve, for showing us all that our creativity is the most important thing we have. Most of all, thank you for being yourself and sharing that with us.

John, this was beautiful. I remember that you were once writting this on your facebook’s status, but I think you never finished it. Now we know what happened after you went to Hollywood for the first time! lol All I want to say is that keep up with your work, ’cause it’s awesome… even if your mother can’t watch it yet (did I mention that my mom wanted to watch Svengali with me? lol).
